Prevent back pain
Making sure your body is fit and healthy before you get pregnant can help prevent back pain. These exercises can reduce the risk of pregnancy-related back pain. Women who are not used to exercising are advised to take it easy.

Back pain relief methods
1.) Back Care (See “Protecting the back and pelvis during pregnancy” for more information).
2.) Massage: Especially when performed on the lower back, a massage can bring great relief to tired and aching muscles. One way to relax is to lean on the back of a chair or lie on your side while massaging the muscles on either side of your lower spine. A massage with a masseuse, midwife, or physical therapist can relieve back pain.
3.) Heat and Water: Taking a warm relaxing bath, using a hot compress, or even a warm shower can relieve back pain symptoms.
4.) Wear a support belt: A maternity or support belt can help support the weight of the baby, relieving pressure on the stomach and back muscles.
5.) Use a support pillow: Sleeping on one side with a wedge-shaped pillow under your belly can relieve back pain.
6.) Strength and stability exercises: Exercises involving the pelvis and lower abdominal muscles can strengthen the back and stomach muscles to help support the weight of the child. An example of a simple and safe abdominal exercise is squatting on the floor on your hands and knees, making sure that your back is in a flat position. During the inhale and exhale, the navel is pushed into the spine and the back remains stationary for 5 to 10 seconds. The stomach muscles are then allowed to relax after each contraction.
